Someday Soon
The Wishlist
Tools and ingredients on my radar for the next chapter.
Every home cook has a list. Mine is part inspiration, part research, and part “maybe I’ll get there eventually.” These are the tools I’m eyeing for the next chapter of Crumb & Chaos, whether that’s leveling up an existing recipe or trying something I haven’t tackled yet.
Some of these I’ll probably get to soon. Others might stay on this list forever. Either way, they’re worth knowing about if you’re building out your own sourdough setup.

Big Ticket Tools

Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer
We have a KitchenAid and I LOVE it, but this spiral mixer looks A-MAZ-ING. A proper spiral mixer is the kind of upgrade that would change what’s possible in this kitchen, especially for larger batches and higher-hydration doughs.
Mixing & Folding

KitchenAid Silicone Bowl Scraper
The bowl scraper that came with my starter kit is okay, but it’s time to upgrade. These should keep a nice edge, and with over 5,500 reviews, I don’t think I can go wrong.

Flat Woven Dish Towels
Flat woven dish towels are a versatile tool in the kitchen. I use them for lining my banneton baskets, wiping up spills, drying my hands, and swatting children out of the kitchen. I want the teal and the honey gold.
Baking & Bread Tools

Mini Oval Banneton
These proofing baskets will be perfect for mini half loaves. I like to split my dough and try different inclusions in each one.

3 Pack of Oval Bannetons
When I’m making bulk bread, extra baskets make it easy. Ten inches is the ideal size for full-size loaves.

3 Pack of Round Bannetons
Round baskets for boules and country loaves. Also ten inches, so I can mix and match with the oval set for a full lineup of proofing baskets ready to go on baking day.

Another Dutch Oven
A second Dutch oven so I can bake two loaves at once, or have one available for a stew while another is baking bread. Simple cast iron, no enamel.
Around the Kitchen

Mini Waffle Maker
My son loves waffles for breakfast. We recently switched from Eggo to Whole Foods organic frozen waffles, but I’d love to batch-make sourdough waffles to keep in the freezer. This mini Dash would be perfect for that.
