The Short Version

Some of the links on The Crumb & Chaos are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only ever link to products I have actually used in my own kitchen and would recommend to a friend.

That is the short version. The longer version is below for anyone who wants the details.

Amazon Associates Disclosure

The Crumb & Chaos is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you click an Amazon link on this site and make a purchase, Amazon pays me a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay does not change. Amazon covers the commission out of their margin, not yours.

Other Affiliate Programs

In addition to Amazon, I may occasionally participate in other affiliate programs for products I genuinely use and recommend. These can include kitchen tools, baking equipment, flour brands, and educational courses. Any time you see a link on this site that earns me a commission, it is treated the same way: no extra cost to you, and only recommended because I actually use and believe in the product.

My Recommendation Philosophy

Here is what I will never do:

  • Link to a product I have not personally used
  • Recommend a product just because the commission is higher
  • Hide the fact that a link is an affiliate link
  • Write a review with the goal of selling rather than helping

The whole point of this blog is to help real-life home bakers actually make great bread. That falls apart the moment I start recommending things just to make a few dollars. So I do not.

Sponsored Content Policy

From time to time, I may partner with brands on sponsored posts or paid product reviews. Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled at the top of the post with a disclosure like “This post is sponsored by [Brand Name]” or “This post contains sponsored content.”

Sponsorship does not change my honest opinion of a product. If I cannot stand behind a product, I will not write about it, sponsored or not.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
